This is our Legacy Series™ Throaty Bucker, potted in a Z-Series cover. Potting the pickup in the cover lets us save a few steps and offer this pickup to you at a lower price. The Throaty is our “hybrid-voiced” neck pickup, mostly hum-bucker but with a little bit of single-coil character mixed in to give it a higher Q and no muddiness. The Throaty comes standard with 4 conductor wiring to enable our Silent Split™ function. In parallel (split) mode, it does a very nice single-coil emulation.

• Z-Series pickups have their covers potted on. Removal will void the warranty.
